Laeng places fourth at Regionals, then goes on to take third at Eastern Nationals!

On May 9th, the best gymnasts of level 9 competed at Eastern Nationals in Dayton, Ohio.  Jennie Laeng from Olympic Dreams represented our five state region (Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio) as one of it's top athletes.  Just making it to Nationals is quite an accomplishment - especially in our region.  Region 5 is generally the toughest region in the country to qualify to nationals because there are so many really talented gymnasts here.  As a region, we win more titles than any other region year after year.  The bad news is that one slip up at Regional's could keep really talented athletes from seeing nationals.  Jennie was rock solid throughout the regional competition - enough to capture fourth place.

But wait...there's more...
Jennie didn't just attend Nationals this year.  In the few weeks between Regionals and Nationals, Jennie trained hard five days a week to polish her routines even more.  The extra work paid off handsomely too.  Her routines on each event were pretty flawless as she managed to place on three events and finish third in the all-around.

Excellent job Jennie... we are proud of your hard work and accomplishments!
